Is this place upscale??
Flavorful, spicy Thai food.
It is Los Gatos, so everything is phenomenal. The ambience and service are excellent. The food is quite good though I would not call it authentic or upscale. It is v good, but not great as per my experience
MoreFront door doesn't close, it gets pretty hot. Waitress takes quite a while even when it's not busy. Food can be better considering the price.
MoreThe Thai food here is great. Very friendly staff. I'll go again.
The decor really draws you in, but the food keeps you there. We got the thai samosas, red curry with chicken, green curry with pork, white rice and brown rice, and pandan tapioca. We loved all of it. The curries are unlike what we've had at other Thai restaurants like it's a special recipe passed down from generations. We also had dragonfruit lemonade, which was unique but not amazing, and thai tea. We enjoyed the food over everything else. The portions are fairly large. The curries are entrees and the rice are sides. It is a few dollars pricier than other Thai restaurants. (Curry itself with chicken or pork is about $16 and rice was $3). Overall, if you don't mind spending a few extra dollars, I recommend Coup de Thai.
MoreI have been to a lot of thai places and this one still has new items to try. Really liked the food. A hole in the wall place with good ambience .
MoreThis place has a great ambiance and wonderful food. It's a little pricey in general but I think you get your value here with quality of food and the atmosphere of the place. It's a great place to go to dinner as the restaurant looks really nice at night. Note that it's probably best to go in parties of 4 or less; it's a small establishment.
MoreCoup de Thai is a fantastic restaurant for those looking for a great Thai restaurant. The inside is very nice and well decorated. The atmosphere is very pleasant. The menu offers a variety of options. The staff is very good and knowledgeable about the menu should you have any questions. A place where the staff could improve is providing a beverage, it can take sometimes ~ 7 mins just to get a glass of water or something else but other than that it's great. Tables get cleaned pretty fast. The food is fantastic you certainly won't be disappointed.
MoreReally good place, I liked the coziness and the food was really good.
A real neighborhood gem. The food is well crafted and the service extremely friendly. We had a fantastic time, enjoyed quality food and reasonable prices. Definitely worth trying.
MoreOne of the best Thai restaurants in Los Gatos. Creative and delicious food with good ingredients in a nice and quiet atmosphere. Good for dating.
MoreLovely thai restaurant with great tasting food & fast service located in the fancy but small downtown of Los Gatos. Drunken Noodles were top notch. We had a lot of fun here. I also ordered Thai Iced Coffee & it was extremely tasty.
MoreEvery dish we ordered was very delicious. I can say that here is the best thai restaurant in the bay area. My favorite dish was the crazy prawn and green curry!!! Can't wait to try more food here.
MoreTry the calamari and cucumber salad. Both were good. The pad thai was a bit vinegary. Service was quick and courteous and we got seated quickly.
MoreFood was pretty good, but taking off a couple of stars for the slow service. It took a long time for the food to come up. There were at least three other tables getting antsy, flagging down the help, wondering where their orders were.
MorePretty decent though not outstanding
This place is in downtown Los Gatos and we still got out of there feeling full with a very inexpensive meal. And it was good! The waiter didn't ask me how spicy I wanted the yellow curry so or ended up being spicier than I world have ordered and it was a nice change from the milder version I usually order. Waiter was very polite and helpful. Highly recommend you try this little gem
MoreLittle salty side, but good presentation.
Hands down the best Thai food I’ve had recently (even better than the ones I had in Chiang Mai I think). We went there for lunch and ordered beef curry, “endless summer roll” and eggplant salad. They all arrived quickly and tasted really good! Would definitely come back again if I have a chance!
MoreGreat variations on standard Thai dishes. Spicy is spicy, even as a mild option.
My wife and I dropped in for an early dinner bite on a Sunday afternoon. We had a few tapas plates to quench our taste buds.We had the coconut soup, summer rolls and their version of nachos. Everything was very tasty and fresh. The portions were good. We left fulfilled. The decor and styling inside is wonderful. From the Thai art, the wall niches, the creative ceiling design and the warm pendant and wall lighting. The price was right too!
MoreMeh.O.K., maybe I need to go back and try other items besides the two Thai standards - Pad Thai and Red Curry. Not in any rush to go back though.
MoreThis place is legitimate. No joke. The soup is incredibly flavorful, and the other things I tried we're top notch
MoreSuper friendly and efficient service. Great tasting vegan dishes. Clean, spacious ambience.
MoreHad lunch here with a friend. My friend is vegetarian, so we shared 3 vegetarian dishes. They were excellent! Friendly service and great atmosphere.
MoreThis place is on pricey side because it's located in the heart of downtown Los Gatos, but there's a lunch menu with decent options.
MoreThe food was pretty good (I liked the Mongo Mango with tofu), but I don't think it's good enough or large enough portions to often justify the cost.
MoreVery nice Thai food in the heart of Los Gatos...
Staff is superb to match the incredible flavors!
Food was delicious but long waiting although only few customers
I dropped in here with my wife and her parents. We had a great time and the food and service was top notch. We loved their Thai yellow curry in particular.
MoreUnfortunately bad experience. The PadThai with chicken was not eatable. The meat had a smell. We had to return the meal and did not get any money back. Even more the waitress said she knows the chicken is bad and did nothing about it to fix the restaurant’s mistake. Would not recommend! One of the worst experiences
MoreThis place is veeeeery slow. They cannot handle the orders when they are busy. It may take about 1 hour for your order to get ready
MoreThis restaurant is doubtless one of the coolest place in the neighborhood. Anytime I go there I am awfully happy. They preserve their high standard service and the highest level of dishes they provide. You will be always satisfied with this place. Highly recommended.
MoreDelicious Thai food with great service. I love this place!
BEST Pad Thai I've ever had- fresh ingredients and incredible flavors. I also like the acoustic panels at the ceiling- they help to create a better atmosphere in the restaurant- good investment. Go there!
MoreGreat food, nice ambiance, gluten free and veggie options!
A nice cozy restaurant downtown Los Gatos. The service was quick and friendly. Good food too.
MoreQuite mediocre. We used to like this place, but our experience tonight was disappointing. We all found the food overly salty. We are not going back which is shame because we live nearby.
MoreI usually hate curry until I accidentally break in this spot. Chill and high end glass serves you with wine or chai. Modern decorate and limited seats. I always had the green curry with beef. The best I had in the US. Not kidding. And the service is soooo sweet & considerate. I already marked it as my favorate resturant here. Definitly will come back often.
More1st Star: very clean bathroom, nice tasteful dinning room deco. 2nd star: good wine selection, served at proper temperature. 3rd star: good service, kind, polite, attentive greeting and follow-ups. 4th star would be for the food which is not there. There are so many Thai food choices around; gotta be more authentic. 5th star is the over all experience which is not there because the unimpressive food.
MoreThe food was good, not great. The service was lousy. Pretty restaurant for sure. I won't rush back
MoreThe absolute best Thai food I have had in a freaking long time. The only complaints I have are the place is very expensive especially if you consider the portions are on the smaller end - each entree is only enough for one person.
MoreNice modern atmosphere with a great location and window to people-watch. We ordered the Pad Thai, and the Sesame Chicken. Both dishes were pretty good, but the above-average taste did not justify the price point, which is roughly 50% more than a traditional Thai restaurant.
MoreGreat food and ambience. Highly recommend their green curry and Mongo Mango
Best thai food in North America. Quality was amazing and the flavors were so fresh. We had the green chicken curry. Came here twice and maybe a third before our trip is over.
MoreBest green curry, however the seafood entrees leave a strong aftertaste that can be avoided
MoreThis restaurant definitely knows its audience: overpriced food with small portions. It tasted fine, but they focus on presentation and "experience" more than food quality or satisfaction. Also, beware the "endless" spring rolls - that's just a catchy name to get you to buy them. You only get 2 rolls (cut in half) and, despite the name, it is NOT free refills on rolls. (Interesting story: we asked "are they actually endless spring rolls?" and the waiter said "yes." I must admit, she may have been an ESL person, but we felt misled about the title)TL;DR: don't get the spring rolls. The portions are small. The food tastes ok but it is overpriced.
MoreFantastic and delicious food, I love the ambience this spot has, and the workers were super nice. Will surely visit here when I’m around.
MoreGreat food and service
